Absolutely amazing company!

Pros

This company cares so much about its employees, it's almost too good to be true. In addition to a high-energy, low-stress environment, the work itself is collaborative, innovative, and fun. The whole company embraces the Agile Scrum method, which encourages flexibility, efficiency, and team-driven decisions. It's an absolute joy to go to work every morning.

Cons

Other than the work being a bit monotonous sometimes, the cons of working here really depend on the team you're working with. Sometimes teamwork can be great, and other times, it can be less than stellar.

Study.com has been working hard to implement Agile and Scrum across the entire company. While there have been some challenges in rolling it out across the whole business, we've really valued the increased transparency and ownership Agile has brought us. Like every company, there is a daily grind, but hopefully Innovation Fridays, hackathons, and opportunities to work on a lot of different projects within your department help to relieve the monotony.

Pros

Amazing people, seriously can't emphasize that enough, I like everyone I work with and this is the first time that's true in my life. They allow you to pursue ideas past just having one, especially if it has ROI, they are supportive of me as both a person and an employee past anything I've seen in a company. I asked to increase my responsibility more then once and they have delivered on their promise and more. The culture is something to be envied. There's always a happy hour or some event to hang out with your coworkers. The free food in the kitchen never hurts either!

Cons

We have too many ideas, sometimes we don't execute them as well as we could.

I'm so glad that you have opportunities to grow and gain responsibility. We're always looking for ways for employees to grow and develop in their profession. If you have any ideas for how we can create more development opportunities for employees, I'd love to hear them! We do have a lot of great ideas, and prioritize them based on value when we plan quarterly initiatives. Our Agile development process and scrum teams have helped us improve our execution on ideas over the past few years.

Pros

- Working for a company that you can stand behind proudly for its efforts to make education more accessible, saving students money and time, and helping them make better decisions about their educational choices. - Company bowling league, beach day, team events, snacks, meals, beer cart Thursday, happy hour Friday, Hack-a-thons, innovation Fridays, company-wide team building events, celebration trips to Las Vegas - FUN, FUN, FUN! - Working with some of the most intelligent people that are willing to help you learn and grow (and that are fun). - Having endless opportunities to work on many different things. - Working in an environment full of collaboration, learning, fun, excitement, humor... and friendships. - A company that is financially stable and has a clear vision for strategic growth. - Highly competitive compensation plans and benefits

Cons

- Tremendous amount of growth within a small period of time can make it hard to keep the culture stable. The company seems to be doing a great job so far, but just be weary. - A ton of meetings... granted we are in a high growth time and brainstorming new ideas is critical. - Too many snacks causes lots of munching (thank goodness for the gym membership)
