Pros

Summit has a very friendly atmosphere where we strive to be more of a family than just co-workers. If there is a problem it is encouraged to take it to the supervisor and it gets handled rather than letting it slip through the cracks. People are encouraged to be themselves and with the wide variety of positions there are different areas for everyone to excel in. If you're not happy with one position you're not stuck with it, just ask what else you can work on and there are plenty of options.

Cons

This location is a bit unorganized due to the high volume of product that flows through the doors on a regular basis. It is also hard to keep clean due to the wind blowing everything around when the doors are open. Shop is not heated or cooled due to the large doors that have to stay open in order to move product.

Pros

Easy Work Easy Pay Check Good People at the Bottom

Cons

There is no hope here. Management is Top-Heavy and has no care for the people below them. The work is easy sure, but mind numbing. Summit will give you a million tasks if you are foolish enough to accept them and pay you nothing. If you join Summit, do the bare minimum for as long as it takes for you to find something better. DO NOT GET STUCK HERE! Summit loves to outside hire. You will not get a promotion, but you will train the outside hire who was just hired in above you. Sales runs the company at razor thin margins, and management are cowards to reign them in. They would genuinely celebrate if sales were above a 5% margin. It's a circus.

Pros

Summit hired me with minimal work experience in my field. For a local company, benefits were great and competitive, my coworkers were great, and I loved the office I worked in. I learned a lot that really jump started my career. For that, I will always be grateful.

Cons

I always felt like I was in trouble and that I needed to know things I had never done before. If I asked questions, I was questioned why I didn't know what I was asking and if I ever paid attention in school. If I decided to just research and figure it out on my own, I was lectured for not asking questions and my boss was "losing faith" in my ability to do the job (this was a conversation that happened 6 months after my employment and continued to the end of my employment). I was using my degree but I graduated 6 years before I actually started working in my field so I was a bit rusty on what I learned in college and felt like I made the wrong choice switching careers. I was let go during the COVID quarantine which was questionable because I was not the last person hired in my department and I had to train the new person to do the work in two days that I had done for over a year and half (which stressed her out). Being laid off ended up being the best thing that happened to me since I switched careers. There was also not a lot of upward movement and even if something became available, people were discouraged from applying and friends were hired from the outside instead of being promoted.
