Pros
Summit is working to change the culture and has finally decided to get with the future and change its technology supporting the business. The work schedule is flexible and they really help you when needed. The hr department and the training departments have made amazing strides. The people are amazing.
Cons
Health benefits are absolutely garbage. The business is a 500 mill a year company but Health insurance costs 700 dollars for a family. The business is pulling itself in too many directions and leadership struggles to keep the ship afloat because of to many talking heads. No formal policy backing and enforcement. There is alot of well just do it this time and a refusal to adhere to the set forth policy. The sales side is pushy and has no understanding of how the corporate departments work and try to circumvent any attempts made to establish procedures for support. Alot of I want it yesterday requsts. Little to no communication between the corporate departments, Corporate decision makers and sales team. When projects are initiated the business has a bad habbit of pushing last minute work to the corporate departments with no project lead up time or understanding of the work load the corporate support teams are carrying. Leadership focuses only on sales and makes no effort to understand the corporate support teams or their needs. Leadership absent and in meetings to often. New ceo only met with sales teams and made no effort to meet with the it team. Work load is un balanced within teams causing work overload for employees.
