Pros

Impactful work, given many responsibilities Colleagues are driven and there is a culture of innovation Ideas are listened to at the network-level and implemented quickly Big emphasis on and opportunities for professional development

Cons

Work-life balance can be difficult, especially for people unfamiliar with working in schools First year in the role is difficult, there's a steep learning curve and the workload is high There are large differences in the cohesion and effectiveness of each school

Pros

We have 8 weeks of expeditions instead of electives where core teachers attend meetings rather than facilitate classrooms.

Cons

Summit mentor groups help build community, but often require much more additional work outside of work hours.
