Pros

SunTrust demands diversity. If you are a minority, then you are more likely to be hired. The base salares are reasonable.

Cons

Be prepared to be taken advantage of. Your either make your goals or they will progressively get rid of you. No exceptions, no excuses. Hit your minimum goals or sign on the write up form. Being salaried, they do not care if you have days off or not. You may work a month straight with no days off. Least I mention that at the end of the year, if the complany does not make its goals, then they will compensate the company by docking your year end paycheck. Many had to pay thousands of dollars in bonuses back.

Pros

Good Sales Training Opportunity for advancement Good work environment

Cons

Pay low Commissions low and sales threshold to get paid on commissions almost impossible to hit Change commission structure yearly. Never for the good of the employee. You now have to sale more for less commission. They're now taking commission away from you if new client doesn't keep x dollars in account. So why sign up clients who live week to week, or in some cases day-to-day. Hours long. In-store branches open till 7 p.m. Impossible to take a sick day. Employ just enough to keep branch operational. If one employee gets sick it's almost impossible to find someone to fill in. So basically you can't take a sick day. You get five sick days but are discouraged to use them. Was told you have to plan ahead and schedule sick days.
