      Pros

      The area that I worked in had a lot of Suntrust banks. Therefore there was a lot of opportunities for advancement.

      Cons

      When I first started the bank was also located in the grocery stores and open 7 days a week. The first year I was there was the first year the bank was closed for Easter. I cannot believe Suntrust is open on Sunday. The other thing is that the bank still turned over at 2 PM so the technology was a little behind the times.

      FDIC Insured was not involved in any of those crazy mortgages I feel it will stay strong through these difficult times

      Cons

      Have to be very careful of all the fraud going on today but i guess that would be for any bank

      Place to start not a place to finish

      Pros

      It was a great place to get into banking as there was a very high turnover. Easy to go up the ladder for non management but ceiling is hit with management

      Cons

      Once you have a job pay increase were small limited income , senior management tries to get management to have lower levels look bad if they need to move people around. Impossible to make the goals, not just one branch but across the entire regions. High turnover, because of the stress of not making goals there was a great deal of management turnover and new mangers were constantly pressuring lower staff to make the goals. Call nights were bad as you keep on calling on the same people over and over again. Once a month is enough not every day.
