Management Problems

Pros

Air Conditioning, others working with you, coffee, working restrooms, salary, and office supplies. Overall everything except culture which was great at one point.

Cons

Management would be most easily described as a disconnected, fake, and dishonest. Many reviews speak of “how wonderful it is” and the job is wonderful- and it is superb if you’re backed by the group of managers that sit at the “cool kids table.” This is by far the worst group of people I have ever worked with especially the VP of the schools department.

Pros

The money is somewhat decent for an entry level job.

Cons

Extremely high turnover rate. They have you work for a few months (a year if you get lucky or if you are out of this world successful), fire you if you “aren’t where you need to be”, and then inherit any business that you were able to get during your time there. Right after they fire a handful of people, they have a new hire class. And they do this over and over again. They will try to justify their actions by screaming "Its a sales job! Its a sales job!" until they are blue in the face. There is a fine line between firing and hiring all the time and letting someone go here and there who is clearly not putting their best foot forward. You will find that upon your arrival that the call lists are completely tapped out. Because the lists are so exhausted, outreach will only take you so far. There’s not enough business to go around because the vets and higher ups have capitalized on everything back when the company was much smaller. You are left fighting for scraps of which they will inherit after a period of time. It’s essentially a pyramid scheme. Lastly is “leadership.” The leadership style mainly revolves around fear and “be successful or you’re fired.” During my time at Sunbelt, I never once heard my team lead make a recruiting or marketing call. But as soon as they fired someone, they would inherit that business in a heartbeat and reap the rewards of other people’s work. I would say that if you want to pump out half a year of cooperate work experience, Sunbelt will get the job done. Just don’t expect this to be anything long term.

Pros

Great Hourly Pay, but was exchanged for no benefits On some matters they are responsive quickly Fast Interview, Quick Placement Polite and Courteous Never a problem getting paid

Cons

My recruiter was a bit misleading about the non-compete cause , although Sunbelt acknowledged this was "unfortunate" they did nothing about it. His exact words were "It's no big deal....happens all the time." No big deal is a very large fee exceeding $18,000 for the district if they want to keep you. If you are placed by Sunbelt, be aware that you cannot work for your placement for a year following the end of the contract without the school district paying a LARGE fee.....like nearly 40% of your annual salary. They won't waive it, no matter what. I performed excellent, nearly every teacher I worked with wrote to HR of the district asking them to keep me.....my principal wanted to keep me, my HR department wanted to keep me. I was told the ONLY reason I was not hired for the job was the HUGE fee they would have to pay. My district simply couldn't afford it. I tried to engage Sunbelt multiple times on it, the VP refused to speak with me at all, and they basically didn't care about me, the students I was bonded with or advancing my career.
