Pros

Good pay, professional, good opportunities - especially when I first started. You will have 5 bosses and if you get lucky with them all, you will have a nice time getting promoted. Very social company - your character and charm will get you further than your work ethic or knowledge. Pay was always really good.

Cons

As a technician, you are the "handyman" and can be called to do things outside of the norm. As an electrician, I took offense to being used for only roof leak investigations (for weeks at a time) without training. Travel and OT were killed, making the job no longer worth my while. Also, the customers hate you. Many customers have a contract that they wish to argue about, and you are left to be the one to take the abuse since you will be the first face they see since their installation. Personal opinion: solar is dead. Just look at RUN and SEDG stocks. This industry is now cutting back so I think it is a terrible time to start in it.

Pros

Pizza party once a year.

Cons

The management literally has no knowledge of basic electrical theory. It's constantly a numbers game where you will lose. There are constant roadblocks to complete jobs due to the lack of competency in management. The customer always gets ripped off and little is done to help them. It's a money grab company that pays somewhat well but it's not worth the time or stress and eventually leads to a dead end job.
