Pros

Company offers a wide range of product lines that cover from SMB to Enterprise whereas many new knowledge can be learnt and shared. Great insurance benefit. CEO Charles devotes 99% of his time into work place that demonstrate a strong work passion to others. Result drive, no macro management.

Cons

Many senior managers do not know how to mentor or train the new hires. If you do not speak Chinese, you will be lost in translation. No clear company organization chart is provided. Company politic is an issue that cause internal conflict and result in bad reputations in front of external customers.

Pros

Supermicro is an interesting company. You can touch your lowest or highest here but it is a very solid organization. You will have your days where everything you did was done wrong and you will have your days when the CEO will call you in his office and ask you to move a mountain because you are the best. Bottom line, if you are hardworking and motivated, there is ample opportunities here where you won't find in any other organization this size.

Cons

Everyone is considered Jack of All Trades here. You could be in Sales and doing Marketing. You could be in Accounting and doing Purchasing. Engineers are promoting products and managing employees. No set boundaries. Good for some people who are willing to role up their sleeves and do the work outside of their responsibilities, but if you want to stick to just your skill sets, this company is probably not the best company to join.

Pros

Supermicro is a very good company. I have been here 19 years and my career grow from zero to a top management role. Management are very friendly and consider you as part of their own family. Management are very generous when it comes to compensation. Once you are in and you perform well, you are compensated well.

Cons

Working hours can be long at times only because we are always under staff and we have customer requests that are urgent.
