Pros

Free bread Free coffee Matcha birthday cakes Bubble tea (paid out of your own pocket)

Cons

-management dos not welcome any sort of change or improvements over processes -backwards company culture (stuck in 1980’s) -always felt like I was being spied on with extreme toxic micromanagement -if you dont speech Chinese, best you avoid working here -always finger pointing with zero concept of collaboration and cross-functional partnerships -no accountability or true ownership of work -even if your wfh, and getting your work done it does not count because your not badged into the office -no career advancement opportunities -99.99% chinese, no diversity at all

Pros

Job security tends to be very stable, layoffs don't occur often, There are many employees that have stayed for more than 10 years.

Cons

Company culture, majority of employees are from China/Taiwan and bring the same work culture. Highly team dependent, but expect longer hours and not great work/life balance. Benefits are below average, no 401K match.

Pros

-I was able to lead the BEST team

Cons

Working at Supermicro was not a positive experience. The company requires employees to be onsite five days a week with zero flexibility, which makes it impossible to have any work-life balance. The benefits package is very poor compared to industry standards, and it feels like employee well-being is not a priority. Management is extremely micromanaged, and despite being hired for a specific role, I was not given any autonomy to actually do my job. Leadership, especially in HR, appeared disorganized and inexperienced, which only added to the frustration. Overall, this is not a supportive environment for professionals who want to grow, contribute, and have a healthy balance between work and personal life.
