      Pros

      Good job security and if you're an engineer you get stock.

      Cons

      Lots of work and no work life balance. If you start being required to work with the company's Taiwan counterpart you'll be in meetings late into the evening. Base pay is very low for San Jose. Upper management is stuck running the company like it's 1995. Internal systems are very dated. Despite a lot of work involving just meetings and computer work, work from home is not allowed at all. Project schedules are rushed and roles here are condensed. Work culture can get pretty toxic if deadlines are rushed

      Having worked for several high tech companies in the Bay Area, moving to SuperMicro has been a big mistake. The company is unethical (read the headlines, they’re true), the employees are unprofessional and disrespectful, and the leadership has no strategic vision. The CEO still HAND SIGNS documents so us managers can open reqs, make offers to new hires, etc. What is this? 1980? Have never seen anything like it. No 401k matching 2weeks vacation per year No remote working (reports show who is in office) Systems are archaic Lower than average pay
