Pros

We work from home. Much better than a standard call center. Great benefits package. Good wage compared to other call center options in area.

Cons

Normal call center gripes. Stress is high, morale can be low.

Pros

Work from home, save on travel. Only have to worry about a paw to paw pile up in the hallway for your commute :)

Cons

Because there’s no real face time being remote. They pretty much bait and switch you on policies and don’t have to worry about much fall out. One example would be the president making a video stating they would not out source to India. 6 months later they did but he stated it wouldn’t affect us. Three months later we were booted out of the clients we normally supported and on to Comcast support where it’s your job to tell customers that have been a subscriber for 8 years they have to pay a large amount to fix a problem the provider should cover. Vs. the other departments the customers actually paid for the support before calling in so you didn’t have to deal with 20mins of a customer pissed off screaming at you (every single call). I was in the top 5 for metrics, excellent attendance, no coaching and bad things against me. 15 years as an I.t manager prior and they wouldn’t even interview me for any position I applied for to move up. They will force shifts that don’t work for, without remorse. They implement new policies daily Each supervisor does things totally different and it’s not consistent. You have some that will be laid back, then you have others with no exprience and that will be stalking you 24/7 on your back watching over you every step of the way, we called them creepers. When I first started a few years ago, they were a pretty decent company. I would have to say now they treat you pretty poorly. It’s was bad enough that I left the I.T Field all together and went to school for a new career. If I had to do it again, I wouldn’t. It would be in your best interest to find something else. I was pretty unhappy here towards the end. The most disapointing thing about it was that hard work doesn't pay off here. No matter how much you give, all the extra miles you go, working double shifts in the end it's forgotten, your just a number. If you like Micro managment, dealing with extremely pissed off customers and being cussed out, low pay, then this job is for you. Also when I left the calls for the last 8mos were back to back. The secound you hung up the phone it was ringing nonstop. Mainly due to the out sourcing to india, the customers would have to call back to have us fix what they did, lot of being a miscommuncation on the original problem the computer was brought to the store for.
