Pros

Decent pay and benefits. Can coast through taking credit for other people's work while you do almost nothing and then frame those setting a high to look like a hero.

Cons

Very dishonest people, creepy stay far far away. Nepotism, DEI driven. Hard work counts for nothing. Security team is extremely dishonest. If you cross the security team or challenge their ineptness, they will misrepresent your job duties to management and have you fired. Damaging to career. I left a long-time career for this place and was told that I would be able to build a long-term career. Now I'm back in the job searching mode. Unbelievable that in today's world dedication and hard work are frowned upon by other lazy people. If I was lazy and not engaged in improving the systems, I would probably still be employed.

Toxic Leadership

Pros

Pay is good and hybrid/remote work if preferred

Cons

For healthcare they have bad insurance, starting to outsource all positions, job security is threatened frequently. There is some good leaders but they are overshadowed by the bad ones. You can't trust any of the leadership, there's promises of change/advancement only to be told "I said it was a possibility, if you do [insert job sacrafice]". Leadership does not like to be told no only yes, then when everything breaks they blame it on you because they were not well informed. The most successful employees stay quiet and don't do anything to attract attention.

No longer the company it once was; C-Suite is failing

Pros

Pay, Benefits, remote work, pretty decent work-life balance

Cons

The C‑suite has started deflecting accountability for their own strategic missteps. Weak decision‑making, unclear business strategy, and an inability to build and support strong teams have led to product failures, financial gaps, inaccurate forecasting, the loss of long‑tenured talent, and ultimately layoffs.

Leadership issues abound

Pros

Pay is at market rate. Perks like Summer Hours, mental health days, etc

Cons

Multiple rounds of layoffs since TPG took over in 2025. Dwindling customer satisfaction scores after laying off customer success teams. C-suite has no strategic vision leading to massive turnover and a lack of direction leading to overall employee burnout.

The TPG takeover was the downfall of Surescripts

Pros

Great coworkers (but good luck to those who remain). Good pay. Fully remote. Your work feels like you are making a difference in Healthcare.

Cons

Frank Harvey is just OK, previous CEO was better and more caring. Was taken over by TPG and since then the company has done multiple rounds of layoffs. Way too much work to do in a lifetime, the firings don't help. Decisions were made by upper management that makes no sense and we a had to scramble to complete it. Direction and processes change too frequently to keep up.

Competitive pay and smart coworkers, but frustrating politics

Pros

Competitive pay, smart coworkers, summer Fridays.

Cons

Healthcare benefits are pretty lousy for a healthcare company. ET is reasonable for a private equity backed company, but can’t say the same for lower leadership. Lots of leaders seem to be on a power trip or totally unplugged from the reality of how difficult they can be to work with. Not easy to work crossfunctionally within department or outside of it. Only come to work here if you’re fine being frustrated with the internal politics on a daily basis.
