They give you the job on the spot. You can learn how to deal with any type of customer.

Cons

You don't have a life, and it is hard to get a promotion. Not a lot of benefits. Work EVERY holiday.

You are correct, employees are not machines, they’re much better! People are our business, and our business thrives because of our people. Each and every employee brings their own unique value to Sutherland Global Services. The variety of characters and personalities within our walls work together to create a supportive, productive, and diverse family. I’m glad you were able to gain some useful customer service skills during your time with us. We are constantly looking for top talent with the ability to retain information and techniques shared during training, and effectively use them out on the floor. Being a global outsourcing company, it is vital that we are constantly available to those whom we service. Our employees’ hard work and dedication does not go unnoticed. Pros

You definitely learn skills you can take to another job. You also earn enough to keep your head just barely above water, especially if you can get food stamps.

Cons

Everyone who is there is miserable, its just a way point to the next low wage job. No one respects you, your opinions or your ideas. Be careful if you get pregnant and need extra support, they'll find a way to push you out of your job.

We know that working in customer service can be exhausting, but we believe it provides you with opportunities that you simply can’t get any other way. I’m very disappointed to hear that your co-workers didn’t reflect the positive mentality and outlook that we try to support in all of our employees. It can definitely be challenging to work with people who don’t seem happy to be there – that’s why Sutherland has an entire department (Employee Engagement) dedicated to providing a rewarding work environment. Sutherland Global Services supports maternity/paternity leaves for those who qualify and offers short term disability coverage to those in need.
