Great for a retail job

This job was probably one of the better retail jobs available. They offered paid time off, paid sick leave, and a 401k with company match, even to part-time employees. Managers and higher-ups were accessible and seemed truly receptive to any questions or concerns I had.

Cons

Pay was kinda low—I started at $11/hour as a sales consultant, and at 18, that’s pretty good—but the most I ever made was $16/hour as ASM, and the hours can be long and dull. I was often the only person scheduled for an entire day. It was consistent, easy money with bonuses and no commission, but it got VERY boring very quickly.

Great discount and quarterly bonus to use on jewelry. Fun events Working as a team.

Cons

Any management higher than the store manager does not do anything except put pressure on to the store managers. And the the team is already selling so hard. Even keeping books about what big clients have bought, so we can call them for more stuff. All about the looks and playing favorites.
