Pros
Free lunch, convenient midtown location
Cons
I worked at Ayasdi for a few months in their tiny and dirty NY office. The job was ok, there was a lot of unclear job responsibilities and I found management to be disrespectful and unprofessional. The office environment was very depressing and uneasy and swearing and peer belittling was commonplace. At the start of the pandemic they abruptly ended my contact with no advance notice and no extra financial security so that i would be 'ok' during a major pandemic. Not only that, I was not paid on payday and had to send several email communications to find out when I was going to get my last paycheck, so that I could pay my rent, which is last thing someone wants to do during a very scary and stressful time. Also, there was a hefty amount of favoritism towards certain people in the company. I really regret leaving my former job to work at Ayasdi. It was a big disappointment.
