Was hired at one pay rate while completing my CDL testing. For nearly 2 months, I was not given my pay raise to the advertised amount. Was told repeatedly “they figure it out” or someone would “send an email about it.” No one from HR would answer the phone or return my calls. No one in payroll would answer or return my calls. My union agent said he would help, but never did. In the end it took conversations with 4 separate supervisors to get my pay changed, but it (conveniently) didn’t take effect until after all the hours I put on Xmas eve and NYE. All in all, don’t waste your time. There are better ways to earn a living than sacrificing your body for these clowns. Oh and the insurance is expensive if you want anything other than catastrophic coverage. And trust me when I say you’ll need great insurance doing this kind of work.
