Pros

Seems like unlimited overtime as long as you don’t exceed you DOT hours. Benefits are in line with other large corp. nothing special

Cons

They own you, they tell you when you work and based on the schedule you might go home after two hours or work for 12. Vacations have to be submitted way in advance, only two paid holidays and what ever you do, don’t get hurt.

Pros

If you can work hard they pay well.

Cons

They pay well, IF they pay you! I didn’t get paid my next check and may not be getting paid for a few weeks. I brought it up to them and the fact that without the money I am owed that I may not be able to afford to come into work as the money I need to pay for the gas to be able to make it into work hasn’t been paid. I am a very hard worker and even when my car broke down I came in by bus. Which from where I live it takes 3 hours to get there by bus and 2 hours back since traffic is better at that hour. Sysco knows that I have had to do this and they do not care that I have gone through such extreme measures to keep working. If they inconvenience you then you have to figure it out but if they inconvenience you even up to not paying you then it’s still on you. I may even be fired if I can’t sell enough of my stuff to be able to afford the gas to get to work today so regardless of if I can or can not I am looking for another job. Oh also they’ll treat you this way even if you’ve been there for 20+ years
