The Worst!

Pros

Employees at the company main office are good to work with. They have to be tough to put up with the terrible abuse from management.

Cons

Very bad leaders who are only concerned about themselves. Morale is horrible and turnover is high. The climate is one of fear. Walking the halls is depressing especially when the CEO or President or whatever she is comes around. As soon as I find another job I'm gone. I should have listened to the people who told me I was making a mistake.

It is our contention that leadership presence within facility work areas is positive in nature. On occasions where leadership is present employee work areas, the intent is achieve a deeper understanding and awareness of ongoing workload impacts and equally important to offer opportunities for our employees to communicate possible issues or concerns that may not otherwise be expressed in our management forums. There are many indications that such initiatives have been welcomed and are well received, underscoring our SPS leadership goal to show that sincerely care and value corporate employees’ hard work, efforts and contributions.

As much as we would like to respond to you’s remarks, it’s difficult to do so without understanding your specific concerns or issues. Relative to benefits, SPS offers very competitive benefit packages to include benefits many companies are not or may not be able offer. Relative to turnover, our employee retention rate, which something we closely monitor, is consistent with or above the industry average. Finally, SPS takes great pride in the level of competency maintained by our management staff. Our 95% customer satisfaction rates, which is a key metric of our AS9100 (rev D) Aerospace and ISO 9001-2015 products and Services Quality Management Systems, supports this conclusion. We appreciate your feedback.

Pros

Paid bi-weekly, health insurance is available, 401k plan. There are lots of good hard working people employed at this company. If you are considering a position with this company at the corporate office or within the United States you can expect a good working environment, new corporate office, and generally friendly co-workers.

Cons

Lack of support for personnel working overseas. There is almost no path for promotion or movement to other projects due to there being very few options. Bonuses and pay raises went away for many and aren't likely to return. Contracts were not setup correctly which has led to employees being stuck with either paying for items they need to perform their jobs (Printers, paper, phones) or going without. Restrictive policies regarding things like vacation or bereavement leave for overseas personnel make it very difficult for them to take time off.

Thank you for your feedback. SPS has many overseas contracts and are not sure which contract is being referred to; however, in saying this your comments are very concerning, especially given that our contract program planning approach is to always ensure our employees are adequately resourced to perform assigned project work. Additionally, we understand the challenges associated with getting time off, especially when our projects are located in austere and hostile operating environments. We of course have to be sensitive to our customers needs and surge demands in these very dynamic operating environments. Finally, as it relates to bereavement leave, we are unaware of any circumstances where bereavement leave requests have been denied. This is certainly not our intent to make such decisions, especially given the sensitive and very personal nature of such requests. Not knowing the specific reasons behind the bereavement request, it’s difficult to know why such a request would be denied other than the request may not have qualify as a bereavement-based circumstance as defined by company policy and labor laws. Thank you for bringing this points forward. We will investigate all of your stated concerns very closely.
