Challenging Place for Recruiting

Pros

Stable company with a few large clients. The benefits aren't bad and the office is centrally located in Troy, MI.

Cons

Absolutely no training. Your expected to learn by being punished when you don't know the process. Each morning includes a meeting with recruiting and sales which would be positive. This is not. The CEO runs the meeting and seems to target anyone who isn't a long term employee or Indian. He asks illegal questions like if a candidate is married, has children, etc. Unethical! If he doesn't know the laws of recruitment/employment why not hire a manager? There are 3 sales people who have been there forever and the rest are a revolving door. How can you build relationships if people leave every year? I would not recommend this company to any recruiter unless your in desperate need of a job. Even if so, take the job and keep looking!

Pros

It's a job that pays you until u can find something else. And I suggest u don't work here. If they call don't even answer.

Cons

Ever morning he has a meeting with his recruiters/sales staff which I would like to call the Anup show. During the meeting he demeans his female staff yells about the simplest things, jumps to conclusions without facts but assumes your not doing your job, bashes ex employees and makes racist comments. It can be heard through out the office. I personally see women run out crying because he's laying into them so much. Also during the meeting he will randomly get up and leave the meeting to go talk to other employees or his mother. He's up, he's down, he's all over the place. Not normal. Anup likes to humiliate u constantly but seems to focus his tactics on women a lot requiring them to do more than the men. He likes to see women uncomfortable, by asking off the wall questions that don't have any relevance to the business. He's so insecure with himself, he forces his staff to stay in the meeting for almost an hour and half so he can validated himself for the day. Because it's actually the experienced/ educated employees that keep the company running. Please note he's worked nowhere but his own company. He has no real experience with the business. He just thinks he does. He micromanages at the fullest. Most conversations with him are rude. He can't simply express what he wants from u. He has to insult u to get his point across. He manipulates to get his way then openly admits it to his employees. Laughing.... Please don't bring him to client meetings. He's inappropriate. His thinking he's doing the clients a favor being there. He favors employees that are not doing their job because their is some relationship in the past with him or they bow to him then treats the employees that have some real talent terrible. It's the insecurity in him. He hires for the wrong reasons. Nothing is automated in the company. Reports are done manually!! Lol invest some real money into the business. In summary, worst manager I ever seen in a long time. I'm posting this to help others. Please don't waste your time here.

Beware of Contracts

Pros

Technical exposure.. Nothing else to mention

Cons

Very poor work culture especially if you're working in their Fixed Bid projects. STG would stoop to any level to get clients/projects. Employees in Fixed bid projects are forced to work for long hours without any overtime pay. When I worked, employees were asked to sign a 2-year Contract even to extend H1B visa (and for all stages in Greencard processing) and you'll have to pay 2 years pay if you have to quit the company within those 2 years. Also, their non-compete clause says that if you quit STG, you cannot join any other STG client though you didn't work for them i.e if you worked for Ford thru STG you cannot work in any other STG client like GM or Chrysler and you'll be forced to move out of Michigan (cannot work in any STG client in the US for 2 years). Very poor HR Practices - its a family owned company (HR is managed by the CEO's sister). Stay away from this company if you want to lead a peaceful life.

Systems Technology Group Inc. Response
3y
This response is 100% false and inaccurate. It appears that either a competitor or someone who's intent is to make false statements to intentionally slander STG's CEO and its management team. Glassdoor is a site that allows anyone to post information regardless of information is truthful or not. STG has 37+ years of revenue growth, 98% repeat business rate and average employee tenure of 7+ years. This is only achievable if STG retains its key employees that are the backbone for success. Culture is the most important differentiator at STG. Positive Culture leads to Positive Business Outcomes. We have referred this post to the local police and FBI authorities so that we can track the IP address to determine who is intentionally slandering people and our company.
