Pros

Great pay if you're good at hitting bonuses. I averaged just under 50k a year... I was lucky enough to be in a busy location though. Lots of opportunity to travel for events like a Sales Rally, trainings, sit down with upper management, etc.

Cons

Ignore the speel this company gives you about employees/community/customers matter. It's a sales job, they just refuse to admit it's the money that matters. Personally I'd rather work for a company that owns up to its shady sales tactics and drive for making money.. instead you get TCC trying to hide behind culture of good and how much they "care" about everyone . A year into the company I bought into their "virtuous circle of success" ( which is no longer a thing btw, they constantly change their company mantras) Now over 3 years later I've realized there is either a MAJOR disconnect between corporate TCC and the store level, or they just don't care. At the store level you are encouraged and trained to be shady. Up front costs like Platinum Pass are not explained and are simply being called a "set up fee". At meetings we go over how to get them to sign paperwork without them getting suspicious about what they are paying for. Oh and don't bring up how messed up that is, especially in front of new hires. You will be pulled aside and "coached" for being negative and undermining management. I may have considered staying with the company if there was more opportunity for moving up, like assistant management. Instead they introduce MIT(Manager in Training) it's basically being an assistant manager without the pay. Culture of Good is a sham, at least to management. We've dropped off boxes of supplies at retirement homes and managers will snap pictures with the seniors smiling snad then post to the companies group chat saying "#COG #MAKINGADIFFERENCE #LOVE MYJOB" then when they leave, crack jokes about how bad they smelled or how sad their lives are. I could go on and on... over 3 years of negative experiences.

Pros

You get to participate in community give backs like the annual backpack give away or teacher give back. That's all I've looked forward to the last 3 years.

Cons

For a company who once prided themselves on being "family" oriented, the lack of ability to effectively run a company fell short at Scott. After giving him the reins, his parents unknowingly signed the will on the values they instilled in this company years ago. The "fame" of owning a huge company was blatant to all with his excessive spending habits, hiring his college drinking buddies as his right hand men, and allowing a turned eye to the corruption infecting his stores. Upper management is a JOKE! They promote those who keep secrets, manipulate others for their personal gain, and the scandals amongst coworkers...don't get me started. Scott couldn't handle the responsibility. He's hired corporate sharks to run this company for him and they're ruining the place that so many of us have called home for many years.
