My peers are what keeps me there and that is becoming not enough

Cons

They do everything they can not to pay you what you earned. They give you a raise then double your goal so you end up worse off and does not take into account historical data like we are told it would. Exec mgmt doesn’t care about anyone at this company. So much outsourcing that we spend our days fixing errors. I can’t believe that this company has turned on its employees like it has. I am wondering what their plan is. It seems like they are trying to get us all to quit so they can be 100% outsourcing overseas that they can pay next to nothing for.

Pros

Lots of valuable hands on experience to be had with Tech Data - working there for 10 or more years is comparable to obtaining an MBA, or perhaps more valuable.

Cons

The two companies who merged did NOT have similar culture or values, as most independent research would recommended when merging. A significant number of leaders left in place or elevated through the merger are destroying the strong culture of the former Tech Data.

Majority of teams not in upper management are good to work with.

Cons

Over the past year they have taken away almost every perk they used to offer that kept them ahead of the rest. Micromanagement, deceitful and do not value good employees or their input. For example, “we are not going to force anyone to RTO.” A month later, “mandated RTO 40% of the time” after 3 years of WFH and record profits. More than likely to get people to quit since there are not enough positions for everyone since the merger, that way they don’t have make headlines due to layoffs. Lower than average pay, Profit sharing, gone. Very limited holiday time off.
