      The Times They are a Changing

      Pros

      TE has business units reporting to segments which report to corporate. Each business unit has its own personality. Benefits are generally competitive. Experiences can be rich and opportunities can be found for top performers. Café and gym on campus are good. And there is philanthropic piece to this company as well. Corporate and Redwood City based jobs have a bit more stability.

      Cons

      The company is basically headquartered on the East Coast. My BU had a major presence in Asia. Work life balance is tough. You can start the day at 5 am and end your day at 9, 10, or 11 pm in order to work with both groups. It has been announced that the Menlo campus has been sold.

      Pros

      None, unless you like the threat of being lay off at any time.

      Cons

      Always reorganizing. TEOA - Totally Eliminate Older Associates. Another reorganization and another lay off on March 23 and eliminating all production workers in Middletown Plant. Always lying to workers saying reorganizations are done

      Pros

      Most people I worked with at Corporate level were very knowledgeable, good at their jobs and very dedicated. Leading the industry in innovative products.

      Cons

      There is no work-life balance. No regard for change management. Every year there is some type major reorganization, consolidation, etc. making for a very unstable work environment. Not people focused at all even though the company promotes that it is.
