Pros

Good first job out of college to prepare you for the work force.

Cons

It's unfortunate but I really only had one good thing about TEKsystems and that it prepares you for your career moving forward. It is a good first job to have out of college because it's a tough role and will make any other job feel easier. I left a few years ago for another position because I couldn't handle it anymore. The amount of pressure and stress that management puts on recruiters is unbearable. If you come in anytime after 7:30am or leave any time before 6pm you receive disapproving stares. It felt like a very "forced culture." Management would try to pry out any information about what was going on in your personal life to make it seem like they cared and it felt really awkward and uncomfortable at times. In reality, recruiters are just numbers and spread. This is very much a "churn and burn" company.

Pros

TEKsystems has a great interview process and truly picks the best people to join the team. They value the ability to overcome challenges and a positive outlook above resume buzzwords. By working with TEK, you can get a great satisfaction in changing people's careers and lives. You get to go on meetings and take the time to build relationships with other people as well as develop your own skills. This is one of the hardest jobs I've ever had, and I mean that in a positive way since I've learned so much thanks to the people I work with and the people I meet. There are long-term career opportunities and a great network of people you can use to your advantage.

Cons

There is very, very little work-life balance. You must work 7:30-5:30 at the very minimum, and you will often be in the office/meetings much later. This is a very competitive environment and you need to put in hours to succeed. There is little to no flexibility but there are good benefits and vacation time to make up for the hard work.

Pros

Paid every week. Bonuses and profit sharing checks. The on boarding process was great for the first two weeks, which sucks you into their "Core Values".

Cons

After you have bought into the con of their "Core Values", you think that you have actually stumbled onto a great company, but your just not paid enough. However, sometimes if the atmosphere is good and there are other benefits, you over look the low pay. Unfortunately, you become a robot. It's somewhat like being in basic training for the military. You are now no longer to think for yourself. If you disagree with upper management, be prepared to find your job posted online. I know of people who have gone to HR because of the unfair treatment and, HR ignored their complaints and concerns.
