      Bleeding talent and layoffs now too boot

      Pros

      Subject matter and goal of helping feed the world.

      Cons

      TELUS Agriculture and Consumer Goods leadership is a disaster. Exceptionally poor communications. Failure to meet numbers. Now come the layoffs. First round was last Fri. Rumor is more to come over the coming months, because organization can’t make sales numbers. Lots of customers leaving due inability to deliver, ongoing loss of talent and now layoffs.

      - Remote work for most jobs

      Cons

      - Executive leadership team is a joke. - Long term employees of legacy business units (acquisitions that TELUS made to form TAG) leaving in droves - Benefits and comp either below market or mediocre. - No psychological safety. Layoffs despite being told there would be none, new president won't address the issue. CTO makes excuses and passes blame, won't address tough issues and only owns wins. - Company is trying to force cultural values on employees that its executive leaders don't exemplify.

      There are some ok people here (although competent people find other workplaces ASAP).

      Cons

      You can't help these people help themselves. Mostly because executive/upper management is incredibly incompetent. I am in final stages of interviewing for other jobs. There is also no way to grow or advance. Telus Ag is soul crushing for anyone who cares about their work and is a type A go getter.
