Pros
Super fake positive environment. They shove "fake positive" in your face constantly. Like when they force you to work 70hrs/wk they talk about how awesome the work is and how amazing the materials you're developing are. They "fake joke" like when you're working 70hrs/wk every meeting they'll be like are we done yet? Everything's all done right? Typically managers are the only ones who think this is funny, because being forced to work OT then having fake positive shoved down your throat is demeaning. They make "fake promises" like promises for compensation for working 70+hrs/wk, (like gift cards) but they never deliver any of these fake promises. I worked several 70hr/wk projects in a row and never received any extra compensation. On the ridiculously tiny salary I made like $5/hr when forced to work all the extra hours, but I never got to work less than 40. Even after 5+ years experience, I was still one of the lowest paid workers, no raises or promotion based of the experience and knowledge you gain. They keep the cheap labor. Then you find out the contractors they hired may 2x as you and do 1/4 of the work.
Cons
Years of experience and no raise or promotions. Discouraged from discussing salary and bonuses with others because people find out there is a pay gap. If they got you cheap, they'll keep you cheap, Underpaying women annually by $15,000. Forced OT. Many 60+ hr work week. Amounts to 5/hr on the tiny salary. They tell you, they'll look into gift cards and such for the extra hrs but it never happens. . They struggled with telling the clients no, even when tasks are out of scope. Then, they'll dump a ton of out of scope work on you and demand it be done yesterday. They change medical benefits mid year so suddenly none of your medications are covered and since you make so little to begin with, you now can't afford your family's medication and no warning pharmacy benefits would change. They're trying to force everyone to an HSA so they keep messing with their PPO.
