Pros
Eastside location. Not much good that can be said about the company. Usual startup problems on steroids... Can't think of anything positive except leaving.
Cons
I've worked in the Seattle tech field for 30 years. Large and small companies and several startups. This company is the worst..... period. They are a startup with lots of people trying to empire build and make a name for themselves and don't care how they do it. People will throw you under the bus to make themselves look good. Lie to cover up sloppy and inaccurate work then blame others. Developers cause build breaks and customer outages and then blame others for their sloppy and untested code check-ins. The management team doesn't care about professionalism and integrity. They consistently reward and promote the most unethical and dishonest members of the team. They believe the loudest person is always right... so if you want to work here, you'd better be ready to shout down anyone who has a better idea than you do. They ignore people with many years of build and development experience and have an ex-bartender manage and make critical decisions for the build process and infrastructure. Management is completely disconnected from employee results and manage exclusively by gossip and inuendo. They ignore every good management tenant I've ever seen, as well as basic HR policies and practices. If you want a fair shake and a management team who has your back, keep looking... This is not for you...! If you love politics, and are good at covering up mistakes, and taking credit for other peoples work and ideas...then this may be the perfect place for you. The work environment is terrible 100% OPEN floorplan. Constantly noisy and impossible to concentrate. People are noisy and have nerf wars daily which kill any productivity. Bottom line is if You are a professional with integrity, you will lose your soul here... Just say no. Feel free to contact me for more specifics and details. Dont throw away your career.
