Pros

Great Beer! 101 on tap and 115 in bottles. Servers can sample the beers for free. The people who work there are friendly. Even the managers if you are a hard worker. Servers party together almost every night. Everyone is expected to be great team players. Everyone is constantly running food, drinks, and pre-busing. It is actually uncommon for you to run your own food. Most of the people who come in are awesome.

Cons

Long hard hours. Because there are SO MANY TV's tables often camp for a long time. Most of the time servers are cut after the lunch rush. But it is not expected to walk away with more than $20. Stay through's average around $50 for lunch. Servers average at least $100 for dinner. A lot of the time servers are expected to work doubles. We open for 15 hours, everyday. Servers are not allowed to sit down at all. If you are seen standing around, you will be scorned. If you aren't busy, you are expected to constantly stay busy. Even if it means detail cleaning. There are only 6 computers, so in a huge restaurant there will be a long line at any given time. Taco Mac nickel and dime for everything! Customers often get very upset being charged $.65 each for ranch or blue cheese. Also, customer service isn't an important role of management there. So when customers are upset, employees won't let servers do anything about it. So it is often you won't get tipped because of management. It is to the point, that servers pay out of their own pocket in order to keep a table happy, because they are afraid to mention anything to the management. Even if what went wrong wasn't their fault. The free style machine is awesome, but it only has one spout. With only two machines in the same area, it is hard to get drinks to the table quickly. Side work is ridiculous, after you are done with your tables you will be expected to stay over an hour doing tedious side work. There is no busser. Servers can't smoke, even though there is a smoking policy. You have to ID EVERYONE. Including your 90 year old grandma. This is the biggest rule of the store. They will fire anyone if they do not check an ID. If someone has an out of state ID management has to approve it. Especially in the Birkdale area, most people are not happy with this. I have been cussed out and yelled at countless times by much older people that I had to see their ID. There are no breaks. Even for dinner alone, the restaurant is open for 10 hours. With no breaks, and no time to sit down or even stand for a moment hours at Taco Mac are extremely long. There are many strict rules enforced, and there are cameras EVERYWHERE to make sure they are being followed.

Pros

Fast way to put cash in your pocket. Easy to get time off if store is staffed. Beer knowledge is expanded. 1/2 off food, Catch up on sports news and events.

Cons

Servers work more at TMAC than other restaurants e.g. No table busser, No Food Runner, No Expo, No Cleaning Staff. $2.13/hour plus tips (mornings can be tough when slow). Open to 2 or 3AM makes it hard to have normal sleep schedule.
