Pros

Supported by senior management. Ability to speak honestly and feel valued for input. Staff are appreciated. Opportunities for learning, growth, advancement.

Cons

The only con I could consider is pay. I don't know that I've ever had a job where I felt like I was getting paid what I'm worth. But overall the compensation and benefits are comparable.

Pay is a struggle for non-profits, no doubt. Much of it is determined by our funding. We have found that like you, our staff our here to make a difference. Lots of positive people united to serve vulnerable populations. Good benefits. Great training department.

Cons

Pay is not commensurate to cost of living expenses increases. Difficult clients can emotionally drain you. New evaluation process is frustrating.
