Pros

It's a slow paced environment most days but the average dollar sale is much higher at this retailer

Cons

It was difficult to break into total store management so I left for another retailer and immediately made $10,000 more in my salary and I've been extremely happy.

Pros

Proud to be selling classic Talbot's styling again. Customers are great to work with.

Cons

Inconsistent scheduling; poor pay. The sales associates are the face of Talbots. It is up to us to promote the brand, and the great customer service - all while stocking the store. It can be difficult to provide the superior customer service expected of us while stocking the store at the same time. Allowing a few extra hours while store is closed redo the floor would be money well-spent.

Pros

Everyone from sales staff, management, to senior executives to be extremely friendly and great to work with. Merchandise discount is very good. Great flexibility with scheduling.

Cons

The loss of medical benefits and inconsistent hours has been very frustrating. Promotions are too frequent. Should give more time to sell goods at full price. Pay scale is not great.
