Pros

Flexible when it comes to calling out. Helps build your customer service skills.

Cons

Working at this store i a lot of issues. First off they do not pay me enough for the amount of work I do. They except you to work the register. Answer phones .process directs. Be full attentive with each customer. Be a security guard warding of shoplifting. Clean all at the same time while the managers hide in the back office practicing using pretty fonts on word. Also the customers also make it unpleasurable. Most people that come in are snobby rude messy and treat you like a servant. I have worked 3 other retail jobs and have never experienced do much dysfunction. Also certain manager don't keep their word and say very disrespectful and unprofessional things to their employees. Also I have a problem with them change the schedule that they have posted without telling us because employees have lives outside of their walls it makes it harder to plan anything. Also they either put too many people on or they put far too few should have been trained to manage a schedule. however this is what I deal with at my location I don't know anything about other locations

Pros

Co-workers are nice, discount is ok

Cons

Pay Hours Pressure to sell store CC I have no idea what is going on with this company, but hours are being cut left and right. I've been here for a little under a year, I used to have around 20-22 hours now I am cut down to 10 hours a week if I'm lucky. Apparently it keeps coming down from the "higher ups" that we have to keep cutting. They started a Clienteling Program, but if you opt out you are considered "support" and get less hours. I was prepared for that, but when they started slashing even more because of overspending on payroll I was shocked. We are losing associates left and right because they cannot get by on the hours, even if they have a 2nd part-time job. I don't know how they expect to run a store on only managers and a few client specialists. They are losing good people, but alas, it's about the money and always will be.

Pros

Flexible scheduling, perfect while working my way through college. The store managers have strong customer service and selling skills. Co-workers are generally willing to switch shifts with you or pick up a shift if you need them to, which I always appreciated. This job helped me become more outgoing and confident working with customers and responding to unknown situations, which is a transferable job skill I use every day in my career. I was able to grow while working here, becoming a member of the brand moment team for new store sets, and also taking a lead sales support role. After graduation, I interviewed for a full time role as an assistant manager, but did not get an offer.

Cons

As in all customer service roles, the customers can be very mean, cranky, negative, and unappreciative.
