Pros

Discount was mediocre. Hours were consistent.

Cons

This was the worst job I have encountered in my entire career. I should have run when the manager who was interviewing me went on a verbal tyraid about how people don't want to work anymore and they couldn't hire as no one was applying. Dishonest management. Hired for one location but asked to bounce from location to location. Unethical conduct by management and District Management. When I finally gave my two weeks notice, I was called by management and actually asked if I would stay another week because both managers wanted to take vacations at the same time, leaving no one there. She was actually shocked when I declined. Abusive environment with a mean girl mentality. Left me so disappointed, I will never shop there again.

Pros

Flexible hours, discounts on clothing in Talbots and sister stores.

Cons

Very poor pay. Hypocritical leadership… do not follow their own procedures and rules. Company promotes charitable giving to women’s organizations instead of emphasis on their own staff. NO ADVANCEMENT. Zero training

Pros

Nice clothes. Decent discount. Not as good as some companies but not bad.

Cons

The store managers say one thing and do the opposite. It’s important to greet the customer as they enter the store, yet they don’t always do it. They lie. They’re proud of themselves but when the boss isn’t paying attention, they don’t do what they’re supposed to. They leave early or arrive late because they’re salaried, which means they steal time. It’s not just one that does that. I have met three of them that do the same thing.
