Pros

Work flexibility is great, it's really nice to be able to work from home There is a lot of availability for internal training but is entirely self motivated

Cons

-Turnover is high with employees and managers alike -You can go through multiple managers even within a year and each time it is a restart on your hard work to promotion -You aren't valued for the work that you do, you are valued for as happy as your client is -Employee appreciation and incentive programs are almost non-existent with the exception of a "Circle of Stars" program that is only open to manager or executive level employees -Benefits and layoffs are regular, the exec team will do what it can to make their workforce cheaper -The people you work with are largely going to be the people who work just for a paycheck and won't be as driven or innovative -You don't get a choice in the clients you support and likewise don't get a choice in your career path -Most managers don't care about your personal goals and will instead lay out their plan for you -There are plenty of opportunities to grow but the internal systems and management make switching departments a grueling process -For a company that talks a lot about how important cultivating new skills are, they really don't care about doing it for their employees

Pros

The ability to build an amazing pipeline of GREAT Candidates! You will need them soon after you are let go by an email. When I left, the Director from 2 states I recruited in offered me a full time job with the company because I did so well at choosing the perfect candidates for his teams. So, thanks Manpower for introducing me to the career of a lifetime that is paying me what I deserve for all of my hard work!

Cons

First, this review will not be read by anyone important enough to care, it is really just a place to vent! Biggest Cons... Middle Management! They are friends of "Semi-Upper" Management. That means that they can wing it and get by because the higher up will cover. After being there for over 4 years I went through 8 leads. Favoritism is a big game being played at Manpower! You do not need experience, just a friend. They expect you to produce by having some new young inexperienced "personal assistant" call you and ask ridiculous questions as to why and when. The expectancies are never met because they can not keep up with the GOOD Recruiters! I was on several projects and would have a count of maybe 1 here and 2 there and 3 on another. The inexperienced Lead and helper bee could not keep up and would not remember they switched you to a different project which at that point you were accused of not meeting your numbers. They do not recognize you for your unpaid OT and extra efforts! They only recognize "NUMBER". The new "CORE" people are making half of they measly Contract Laborers' pay and trained on the job. The poor guys are so stressed out because of the numbers game that the turn over is like flipping pancakes. One more thing, They place ads for new openings that are not real jobs!

Cons

Where do I start? Contract in Chaos, multiple managers in a year's time, each with a different vision. Upper Management doesn't understand the day to day of different parts of contract. Brags to client that they took people working at Wendy's and made them recruiters (I wouldn't have revealed that nugget). Poor decisions by Upper Management damage profitability of contract and they throw lower level folks under the bus. So little direction it's sad. If you like Chaos, this is the place for you!
