Company has aggressive growth ambitions and most of the ELT seem genuine Lakewood office is fine.
Cons
The projects leader has created a very challenging environment. New leadership came early 2024 and destroyed the fast-past and high-collaboration culture that was being built across the new projects organization. Took all decision making authority from everyone at the VP level down to ICs. Also leads with a “shoot the messenger” style, where anyone that presents him with bad news (at fault or not) is getting their head chopped off. Has numerously made females cry, launches personal attacks, and carries an “I’m never wrong” style even when presented with information that conflicts with his stance. It’s amazing how the atmosphere changes when he’s not in the office. It’s immediately known when he’s in because everyone walks on eggshells. The rest of the project’s organization is built of highly capable and enthusiastic individuals. This one apple just ruins the workplace for everyone else. Also very aggressive expectations to work around the clock, for very market wages. Just does not add up. At first, I thought the chaos was just due to a “busy period” but that’s just status quo for the org.
