Pros

Target offers strong benefits for retail, including education assistance, employee discounts, and solid benefit options for full-time employees. As a Service & Engagement Team Leader, I gained valuable experience leading a large team, coaching employees, managing daily operations, solving guest issues, and working in a fast-paced environment. There are also opportunities to develop leadership skills and move into different areas of the business.

Cons

Staffing and workload can be challenging, especially during busy periods or later in the day when fewer team members are available. Leaders are often expected to balance guest service, operational goals, team development, attendance, breaks, and other responsibilities at the same time. Expectations can remain high even when staffing or available resources make those goals difficult to achieve. Work-life balance can also vary depending on scheduling and business needs.
