Pros

I love what the company is trying to accomplish. It gives many people a way to earn money and as it's growing, we've been paying more and more to Taskers. The people are fantastic. Most are kind and smart and really are here to do good work. I feel challenged and I like the problems that I get to work on. I'm disheartened about some of the reviews below as it's not been my experience. The SLT seems very transparent and cares about the team. We have a good plan and strategy and I'm excited about what's next.

Cons

Sometimes we are too slow. It seems to take a long time to ship product. I know that that engineering is working on this, but still, that can get frustrating to me and many others.

Pros

Unlimited PTO, some good people

Cons

The company is just awful. The continually fail and then promote the leaders who failed. This is from the top down. It is obvious IKEA doesn't care if Taskrabbit ever does well or they would have fired Ania a long time ago. They have turned a once good platform into utter garbage (go check out their hundreds of complaints with the BBB). Very few Taskers can make a living on the platform anymore and many of the best have left because of the changes. That is creating a negative feedback loop. The culture seems great at first until the realization hits that only the favorites get promoted despite failing to meet their objectives. They then blame others who bear the brunt of the failure despite it not being their fault. Some of the people are turning straight evil trying to make things work and it is truly sad. Most people just don't really care and don't have to as long as they don't get blamed for anything. There is no career growth whatsoever even though they put on a really good show that they care and there are opportunities. Most people just make a few lateral moves before giving up.
