Pros

The company trip would nice without the required hero-worship of the owners. It's a little nauseating considering the low bonuses.

Cons

The culture is a toxic, "look at me", zero-sum environment. There is no transparency. There is no trust between the owners and the staff, between the teams, or sometimes within teams. It's a CYA, document everything, trust no one work life. Execs and senior leaders are heavy on arrogance, light on experience. Most experienced new hires leave within a couple of years because the company doesn't value experience gained anywhere else. Verbal abuse, up to and including blatant bullying, are common. Not What You'd Think

Pros

Nothing really. Self-absorbed CEO, and shotty run family business. Need to hire outside Execs to stop the greed.

Cons

Cesspool of drama, low pay, family of execs acts like they are important. They were handed the job by their dad. Never had to work a day in their lives. Straight out of college to Chiefs and Presidents. HAHA!!! Plus they don't care about other people's livelihoods, moving us from Evans to downtown. Now my commute is awful. Actually looking for a new job now. BEWARE THIS PLACE!!

Pros

Great customer focus. Plenty of overtime hours during season.

Cons

Lack of woman leadership in Tier 2; exists in other divisions Lack of standardized training for Tier 2 or tax related questions. Training occurs by case Lack of millennial representation for full-time staff in Tier 2. Customers are not the stress causers. Often they are sweet hard working people. Some of the full-time and returning seasonal people in Tier 2 are stress causers. They are rude and often make horrible comments about others within earshot of personnel working the phones; whom they supervise. They do not respect the personal space of women or generally anyone working on the phones. Latino and African American staff have heard racial slurs. This behavior causes such a horrible work environment of which you don't know who you can go to and who you cannot go to for fear of accidentally "overstepping your job". The company has great perks and nice people to work with if you can deal with the horrible work environment caused by those whom have gotten comfortable with "just doing my job."
