Horrible benefits

Pros

My coworkers are great. Upper management does not care about their employees.

Cons

Worst health insurance I have ever had. They switched or insurance company in January 2025 to United Healthcare Surest plan. It is seriously more expensive than what we had and with the worst coverage. Now I know why they did not disclose the deductibles on the ID cards, it’s because the deductibles are insanely high (and I have the top tier coverage that was offered). I had a real emergency and my deductible was $850 in network hospital. I will never go to the hospital again, even if I need it ( like I did this time). Taylor could care less about their employees. Benefits used to be good but now they are the worst. I will be looking for a job with better benefits.

Thank you for your candid feedback and for your continued commitment to Taylor. We’re glad to hear you value your coworkers and appreciate the strength of our teams. We’re sorry to hear that your experience with management hasn’t met expectations. At Taylor, we strive to develop leaders who foster a positive and supportive work environment. If you have specific concerns you'd like to discuss, we encourage you to reach out to your manager or HR partner directly. Regarding your health insurance experience, we understand how important it is to have clarity and confidence in your coverage. When we transitioned providers, two of our four plan designs remained unchanged, while the other two were newly introduced to eliminate deductibles and provide upfront insight into copay amounts for each service. While we cannot control the rising costs of healthcare, we remain committed to offering competitive and diverse plan options to meet our employees’ needs. Thank you again for your dedication over the years. We’re committed to listening and improving, and we wish you continued success in your career journey.

Pros

Some great people work here but unfortunately that comes with some of the worst I've ever worked with.

Cons

Upper management are in it for themselves, don't expect more than this.

Disappointment overall

Pros

There were a number of very good employees I worked with in my time there. I would gladly work with some of them again. They had one of the better organized and inclusive ERP transition plans I had been a part of. IT support was always very good and they were early adopters of many office work tools.

Cons

The annual bonus payout was a competitively weak % for mid level managers and earning it was inconsistent. Manage reviews were micromanaged to a median even when departments went above and beyond to compensate for lost personnel and hiring freezes. Overall, recognition from corporate for high performance or better processes was simply ignored most of the time. Some senior executives were insulting for dramatic effect at times, but they had been replaced by the time I left. It was demoralizing as they couldn't name more than 2 people in a room of 50, but were sure we all didn't deserve to work there. Even though we out-performed legacy units we had to source from. Overall, it grew through acquisitions and legacy and larger companies won out for influence and systems in spite of generally worse performance. Raises were poor. Nothing of note was offered until I had another off in hand.
