So far everything about Team Select are Pros! Accepting this offer was one of the best things I have done this year. Everyone is welcoming, happy, supportive, and fun. Our work doesn't go unrecognized; our CEO takes great care of us! Team Select really has an amazing team and I am truly happy to be apart of it.

Pros

All the free time I have to look for other jobs because they can't handle scheduling.

Cons

They pay you 14 dollars for the first hour you work, but then 11.50 each hour after that. Then, they want you to "clock out" every 45 minutes so you have 15 minutes between each shift, meaning a shift is an hour time block. Of course, that is if you ever get a shift. Upon my hire, they kept telling me they were so desperate for workers and that they could start me that day. They don't make schedules, they don't call or text, they e-mail you about shifts, normally last minute, and then when you accept a shift, they say "okay, we will e-mail you the address," and then never tell you where or when you are supposed to be somewhere. I have had this happen countless times. They approached me with a permanent client, so I took that availability away from my other job, and then once again, they never gave me the particulars, acted like it never happened, and then I was out hours from my other job. Then they did start calling me, spam calling me, telling me that I needed notes in "like in the next 30 minutes" for clients I had never seen. It is like they can't be bothered to tell you what to do, unless it is going to affect them negatively in some manner. My favorite is the leaving for fifteen minutes in a shift. They have a lot of pediatric cases, and if you leave a child home alone for 15 minutes, especially a special needs child, you are going to end up with an angry parent or at the very least, some liability issues. If you have children, you know a lot can happen in 15 minutes. When I started and did my comp shift, they scheduled it last minute, didn't give me any supplies, and then after almost 45 minutes of waiting in a stranger's home for the nurse to show up, e-mailed me to inform me the nurse was running late. Seriously. A phone call or text would have been nice. I would never hire or work for this company unless they completely changed every aspect of it. It isn't reliable or consistent, and those are things that are important in the healthcare field.

Team Select Home Care Response

Thank you for your honest and passionate review. As the President of Team Select Home Care, I take full responsibility for any and all failures or short comings in our business. I was shocked to hear of your experience with our agency, and frankly am even more shocked that your level of frustration has gone unaddressed. We started this company on the premise that home care, in it’s current state, was unsustainable. Reimbursement rates were sky high, and accountability by clinicians and business owners was nonexistent. In the 6 years that we have been building Team Select, while reimbursements have been cut by 40%, we have become the largest home care provider in Arizona and Colorado, with offices in Oklahoma as well. Make no mistake, size in no way equals quality. Yet I raise our rate of growth as an example of how the marketplace has rewarded us for focusing on having world class clinicians, consistent processes, and our ability to leverage technology to improve the care of our patients and the lives of our valued employees. Not only have we been recognized in our marketplace with an ever increasing stream of patient referrals, built on trust, but the business community as a whole as recognized us as well. • Ranked #3 Best Place to Work by the Phoenix Business Journal in 2014 • Awarded the coveted Home Care Elite status in 2014 • Ranked Top 500 Agencies in US in 2014 • Achieved 5 star status as ranked by Medicare in all Team Select offices in 2015 My simple point is to explain that I think your experience was horrible and I truly apologize, yet I think it was an outlier. Lastly, let me explain that rates of pay determined for our clinicians in our Medicaid division, which you are clearly employed, are determined by government contracts. We have absolutely no control over reimbursement and are forced to work within the scope of what the federal government deems is reasonable and appropriate. I share your frustration with the lack of proper funding and support. I am, however, damn proud of what we have accomplished while working within these constraints. I wish you luck and again apologize for any frustrations we may have caused you. Sincerely, Mike Lovell President

Pros

Sadly, none. The cons of this company far outweigh any pros.

Cons

loose behavior(borderline criminal with harrassment) promoted in "their culture", no work life balance, poor reimbursement, unreasonable work productivity, management not open to suggestions, poor orientation, no mileage reimbursement for travel to patients, sometimes a trip fee and you DRIVE many miles.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We believe in fostering an energetic culture that helps to create a positive, collaborative environment. Driving a strong culture that our employees are proud of produces a family dynamic that allows us to come together and provide world-class care to our patients. We pride ourselves on investing in our employees and patients in order to provide the best experience possible and do right by all. We care immensely about our patients, employees and driving success with integrity. We realize that our company may not be a fit for all, and have grown to accept and truly embrace that. We regret that you did not share this experience, and wish you the best in future endeavors. -Mike Lovell, CEO
