- stable job - benefits - work/life balance - reasonable and opened leads and producers

Cons

- upper management blocks good initiatives, doesn't listen to feedback and desperately avoids any changes, doesn't trust its devs - chaos, lack of high-level management, planning - CEO making abrupt micro-management decisions - lack of basic tools and software ("because it costs money", wtf) - HR is not involved with the devs in any way - weird structure where leads can't promote or raise pays for their people - no opportunities for growth, promotions

- Some interesting projects - Passionate people and co-workers that are fun to hang out with - Comfortable offices, though that depends on department - Decent entryway into the industry, though further development opportunity is rather meager

Cons

- Nepotism - Management often does not do necessary research before committing to an idea - Low salaries when compared to the market - Micro-management by higher executives - Lack of motivation incentives and clear bonus structure. I've worked in a department that was never awarded during over three years of work - Management/meeting overhead getting in the way of actually doing development work - General lack of company-wide employee retention initiatives. Some people are deemed 'expendable' in the bigger company picture

terrible management nepotism "good enough" attitute outdated technology not for ambitious people in the long run quite a few people who can talk very nice but do not know how to do their job company doesnt care about keeping good workers. low salaries no bonus policy
