TechnologyAdvice prides itself in hiring very smart people who are capable of managing ambitious work-related goals and metrics while also enjoying life outside of the work environment. Many of our team members take extended time away from the office for personal as well as professional growth. In 2015, the average team member took 24 paid days off during the year, a number we are proud of. We challenge our employees with professional goals to hit each week and month, and while some employees may occasionally work more hours during certain times, we generally hold to a 45 hour work week across our company. The author is correct, our team members are not paid overtime. Instead of hiring hourly workers, we opt to bring on team members who are salaried with complex roles and responsibilities. These positions also come with a full benefits package which is considerably above market. The fact that the author talks about not being paid overtime for a salaried position, while also discussing the company’s discounting of intelligence and experience, is peculiar. TechnologyAdvice does not make it a habit to respond to reviews on Glassdoor as we feel most reviewers have been fair with their assessments to date. However, we felt it is important to clarify a few items from this review.
