Good first sales job, NOT for a career
Pros
Meet a lot of great people. Company culture is non existent but all the reps are trauma bonded together so you will get very close. The company car and gas card was the only real pro to the job, but I heard they took that away. Probably because they mass hired in 2020 when everyone decided to be a DIY expert during the pandemic.
Cons
Management does not, I repeat DOES NOT care about you, especially the female reps. I personally had to go to HR about sexual harassment, as well as 3-4 of my colleagues, and nothing was done or taken seriously. The regional manager at the time, told another manager, “These reps know what they signed up for, they need to deal with it”. Excuse me? Coming from a woman that is absolutely asinine. Also, NONE of us were told we would be selling power tools in a Home Depot. So NO, we didn’t know what we signed up for. I could honestly go on about how cult-y this company is, but to summarize- imagine the worst frat bros/sorority sisters you’ve ever met, but they run the entire company. Majority of the people working there are under the age of 27 and heavily make decisions on whether they like you or not based on politics or just plain mean girl vibes.
