During my time at the company, I noticed a strong focus on maintaining the organization's image, sometimes at the expense of transparency in important processes. Minor incidents — such as light cuts, scrapes, or small crush injuries — were often not reported to the U.S. headquarters, in an effort to preserve favorable safety metrics. This was a recurring practice encouraged by local leadership, and it made me increasingly uncomfortable from an ethical standpoint. Another critical issue was the lack of trust in the Human Resources department as a safe channel for reporting concerns. I witnessed the case of a colleague from another department who tried to report harassment and workplace retaliation but was later dismissed for cause. This incident created a climate of fear among employees and reinforced the perception that raising concerns could lead to negative consequences.
