Forming Department can't keep track of where they are at on production orders even though they have 2 ways of tracking production in front of them. Maintenance is so short shaft and limited on budget. Once they get one machine running another one breaks. Plus a portion of the maintenance department is so unfamiliar with machines the the Supply Chain Manager had to tell them how to fix a line. Warehouse is a disaster. There is no set location for where product goes. Bays are to be sideshifted to create aisles and about 90% of the ware is not sideshifted. Without sideshifting the product is heavly damaged and you cannot confirm your product is located in the correct location. This means that you have to rely on the scanner system(more on that later) to tell you what is in the bay. Also, you might have to go to 5 locations to pick 1 item. Inventory levels fluctuate so much. One day the warehouse is 30% full and 4 days later we will be 120% full. Even we are at 120% warehouse still have to wait on product to ship loads. There is no balance of inventory. The scanning system is junk. System is slow and the last outage lasted 15 hours. There seems to be no backup plan for when an outage occurs. Everyone seems to be running around. Communication is missing between management and employees. Information seems to be passed on after something happens. Policys and procdures seem to appear when they want to. There are several intantces of employees wearing earrings despite having a no jewelry policy. Procedures are written for jobs but there is no enforcement of them. Job Performance Reviews...are garbage. I have never seen a review that was so generic. There was no examples on the review (good or bad)! How is an employee supposed to know what they are doing that hurts them or what they are doing that got them high remarks. Anyone can write numbers down in categories.
