Pros

As someone who has been in the dental field for eight years, I've worked in my share of offices and roles. I'm absolutely loving the family-like feel Tend has. I know, that's a phrase that many dental offices use and it typically couldn't be further from the truth, but at Tend, I'm really experiencing that and it's wonderful. I'm on the orthodontic team but my coworkers are all so kind and willing to help each other out whenever a hand is needed. I'm excited to see what a career at Tend brings, because it's evident from day one that dental IS done differently here. From the moment you (or a member) step into the building, it's a completely new way to experience dentistry- from the aesthetic to the actual employees themselves. The pay is competitive, and some positions receive a sign on bonus so that's nice. There is also a dental stipend for employees and immediate family members so that's another perk. All in all, Tend seems like a great company and I'm very excited for this new oppotunity!

Cons

The benefits seem decent, although the deductibles on both health insurance options are still pretty high. Our location doesn't have free parking for us OR the members, so that's a slight drawback. Also one other drawback is the very short lunch break compared to my shift; 30 minutes for a 10+ hour shift isn't quite long enough in my opinion.

Pros

-driven, friendly team members -people are SO helpful -closed on Sundays -benefits & PTO -if you’re up for it, there’s A LOT to learn -being part of a start-up and seeing that growth happen. It’s magical

Cons

ASMs are sometimes called/considered ‘glorified welcome bar (front desk)’ which can be belittling.

Thanks for sharing what you love about working at Tend! We are so glad to have you on board. We appreciate your feedback regarding training. In addition to our current employee onboarding programs, we are in the process of launching new courses through our internal learning platform, TendU, that will support both new and seasoned employees throughout their career at Tend. We hope this will provide our teams with the guidance they need to succeed from day one.
