Management detatched from reality - work performed is never enough (some direct personnel have used phone apps to measure distance walked over the course of one shift and distances have been repeatedly >10 miles over 11.5 hours (how far can you walk day in, day out?) 2. Lean manufacturing principles conflict with quality goals (watch 'I love Lucy Candy Factory Video' on youtube as an example) 3. Physically and mentally demanding with poor reward and recognition for outstanding performance 4. For majority, pay not commensurate with demands of job

      Pros

      Good work/life balance. Fairly competitive comp & benefits. Steady growth and continuous business results in the industry.

      Cons

      Highly perception driven culture in HR, not performance. Unrealistic expectations of new people (NCGs and exp hires) to look, sound, and act just like the people who have been there for 15+ years. Poor HR people managers given interns and HR NCGs and don't know how to coach or develop talent. Lack of trust in HR community.
