Pros

Great access to experts in almost any electronics field (RF, power, processors -- really anything), many chances for training.

Cons

Hard to escape the struggles of any big company. Often feel as if you're not in a position to move the needle much.

Pros

Great work life balance and ability to move across organizations. Management is very involved in the personal and career development of their employees.

Cons

Old, traditional feel compared to Apple and Facebook or Google. Texas Instruments needs to upgrade feeling and look of sites to be suited for the younger generation coming in

Pros

Texas Instruments has excellent benefits and a great work culture. If you're interested and determined to move up, there are many opportunities.

Cons

Semiconductor manufacturing can be a stressful job at times. The facility operates 24/7 so it is not uncommon to get phone calls after your work day or on weekends.
