Pros

Flexible shifts as long as I work the required hours.

Cons

Low pay for the amount of work required to reach, let alone maintain, the ROI goal.

Pros

Management is great, for the most part. Coworkers genuinely had my back & it was a great team. I'd end up with $100-120 in tips, before tax, per day.

Cons

The big one is the amount of pressure to upsell-- it's not a high income area and most people arent going to buy extras no matter how good you are at sales. You only have 3 tables at a time; they have a tendency to overstaff, so the slow days are VERY slow. Cut work is a bit much. Guests tip poorly there more often than other restaurant jobs & tend to make a pretty big mess on the floor/tables. Despite all this, it was still a good work environment & one of the better options in town.

Pros

Potential to learn how to be a great server, a lot of employees and high turnover plus a lot of customers lead to meeting potentially impactful people

Cons

Very toxic. Management pretends family values are important yet you’re replaceable, no matter your assets. Managers sleep with their coworkers, doesn’t matter the title. Drugs of all kinds, parties, and overdoses are prevalent, and some times result in loss of employment, although not always. I could go on, but one last note: pregnant, and other medically disabled/ excused workers are expected by management to do tasks they are currently medically excused from doing.
