-Advancement opportunities -Many good people in the company -Ability to share ideas with other parts of the organization

Cons

-Rate of pay is well below average for many roles, with little or no increase in pay for locations with a high cost of living -Some very difficult personalities in key positions -Typical large company bureaucratic issues -Extremely lean operations, reaching a point where there a not enough resources available for routine tasks -Stress level and workload for supervisory/management level positions is overwhelming -High level company values (such as focus on people) are watered down and twisted by the time they reach the lower levels of the organization

Pros

Textron Aviation takes really good care of its interns. The pay is competitive and the support structure in place to make sure you have access to the resources you need to make your projects stand out is also great. If your project is good, don't be surprised if people at the vice presidential level sit in on a conference call to hear you talk it up.

- A lot of focus on internal movement and promotion - Good senior leadership team under CEO - Fun product to be working around - Great pay & good benefits - Great Flying Club and program for employees and their families - Many good people are team members

Cons

- Stories prevalent of CEO not driving teamwork and cooperation at senior leader level - Has not embraced work environment perks that are better known at tech companies such as creative work environments, free snacks and drink varieties in gathering areas, casual dress code, bikes on campus, etc. - Has a classic "corporate" feel and mannerisms - Not located near any exciting attractions such as mountains, beaches, large lakes, or big cities (Kansas City 3 hours away)
