      Pros

      Mentoring atmosphere - Learned so much from great hands-on experience and being taken under the wing of more experienced colleagues. Great people - especially in their HQ in Wichita, Kansas. Meaningful work - not just pushing papers. Great benefits. Treat interns very well and give them meaningful projects.

      Cons

      For the Wichita location only: If you're not from here, it can be lonely to relocate. Also, as Textron Aviation has a bit of a monopoly on the engineering/aerospace employment in Wichita, the pay is usually ~9% less than the national average. (But that didn't stop it from being worth it for me to work 2 years here. It really is a great environment that makes up for the pay cut.)

      Pros

      Excellent work life balance. Plenty of mentors and mentoring opportunities. Ability too learn more than just your current position.

      Cons

      As with any position in aviation, it is volatile depending on the market.

      Pros

      The company give it's employees the possibility to invest in the company. It also provides financial assistance to it's employees to advance their education.

      Cons

      The possibility of advancement or other positions is almost nil if you don't have the connections or the know the people personally. Most of the positions that come up on the webpage are already determined before being put up.
